Scope:

FHI Guilford is fortunate to be located on the fringe of a residential neighborhood; however, the entry to the CCRC was poorly defined and led visitors through the neighborhood on typically wide suburban streets with no sidewalks. The Phase 1 scope of work entailed realigning the front entry to decrease traffic through the neighborhood, while improving the character of the street by pulling the homes closer to the street, providing sidewalks with planting strips on both sides; and, creating service alleys with back loaded garages. This sets the tone for a pedestrian friendly internal connector back to the West Campus and better access for residents to all the amenities on both campuses.
